USDA SNAP benefits can be used to purchase most food items for household consumption, including fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, fish, dairy products, breads, cereals, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and seeds/plants. [Prepared, hot foods, alcohol, tobacco, and vitamins are generally ineligible.] VENDOR agrees to accept market tokens only for the purchase of food items eligible under the USDA Snap program. Vendor agrees that no US CASH change will be given for market tokens. Change for $5 tokens is limited to $1 tokens. No US coinage.

Vendor agrees to abide by Federal and Makers Market regulations that prohibit the exchange of cash for the Makers Market Snap/Ebt tokens. Vendor agrees to comply with other Makers Market Hui's Vendors rules and regulation in addition to specific rules for the SNAP/EBT program.

Vendor agrees to submitting tokens for redemption no later than 30 minutes before the close of market to the volunteer Market Snap Program Manager, who may have other closing tasks.

Vendor understands that reported violations may result in legal penalties and suspension from the snap/ebt market program participation.

Indemnification and Hold Harmless: Vendor agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Makers Market Hui, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, sickness, injuries, damages, causes of action, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) the negligent acts, omissions, or willful misconduct of the Vendor, its employees, (b) the products or services sold by the Vendor; or (c) the Vendor’s presence on the Market’s premises. This obligation shall survive the termination of this Agreement.
