The “Make it a Double” Bonspiel will be played as two separate brackets: a “competitive” bracket and a “recreational” bracket.
As noted by its name, the competitive bracket is intended for those who are interested in a competitive doubles event. Prior competitive doubles experience, either in at least one bonspiel or in league play, is required. It is highly recommended, though not required, that participants in the competitive bracket have at least three years of curling experience and have participated in at least two prior doubles bonspiels.
The recreational bracket is open to doubles curlers of all skill levels and will be a more casual event, and no prior doubles competition experience is required. Please note, however, that participants in both brackets are expected to be familiar with doubles rules. Both brackets will be open doubles brackets, and both brackets will follow USA Curling mixed doubles rules.
Please select your preferred bracket below. Please note that bracket placement is ultimately up to Colonial’s 2026 May Events Committee, but your preference will be taken into account and honored if at all possible.
