Are you an individual passionate about the Alaska mining industry? Are you interested in promoting women in mining? Do you have ideas and want to lead an organization that wants to educate, promote, and attract, and preserve?

We are currently seeking nominations for the Board of Directors of Women In Mining Alaska Chapter. Open positions consists of: 1 National Representatives.

Those elected to each position will serve the following terms:
National Representative- Two Years

Nominations are open from September 1, 2026 through September 18, 2029 at 5:00 pm. Voting will occur September 21, 2026 to October 5, 2026 at 5:00 pm. This accomodates our members who are on differing work schedules across Alaska. Announcement of the new Board Director will be November 2.

Roles and Responsibilites:

National Representative- Represents the chapter at the national level with Women in Mining National. Atttends WIM National meetings and reports out on chapter activity. Acts as an ambassador, promoting the organization and its mission.
