Research & Communications Internship, Independent America
  • Research & Communications Intern – Independent America

    SUMMER 2026
  • Estimated time: 10–15 minutes (plus time for file uploads)

Thank you for your interest in the Institute for Global Affairs internship program. This application is for a part-time internship supporting Independent America, a research initiative examining how US foreign policy can better adapt to shifting global realities and to the evolving preferences of American voters.

Interns contribute to research and public-facing storytelling across digital media formats — including public opinion reporting, briefs and white papers, newsletters, podcast production, and editorial support.

To apply, submit: (1) resume/CV, (2) cover letter or statement of interest, (3) two writing samples (max 5 pages each), and (4) contact information for 2–3 references. After submission, you’ll see a confirmation message. Due to application volume, we may not be able to respond to every applicant; only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. For questions, email robinson@instituteforglobalaffairs.org.
