IMPORTANT NOTICE & RISK DISCLAIMER

At the point of engagement, you (“the Client”) acknowledge that leak detection is a diagnostic service only.

A level of risk existed prior to the Company (“iFind Pipes N Cables Pty Ltd”) attending your site. You have engaged the Company to reduce uncertainty; however, no technology or methodology can guarantee pinpoint accuracy or detect all leaks 100% of the time.

The Company reduces risk — it cannot eliminate it.

Limitations of Leak Detection

Leak detection technologies including acoustic listening devices, tracer gas, pressure testing and thermal imaging:

• Do not allow visibility inside concrete slabs, walls or underground.
• Provide interpretive and indicative results only.
• Cannot guarantee pinpoint accuracy.
• May not detect all leaks.

Accuracy may be affected by, but is not limited to:

• Soil density and composition
• Void spaces
• Multiple leaks
• Pressure variations
• Environmental or competing noise
• Structural interference
• Concealed or inaccessible pipework
• Site conditions outside the Company’s control
• Some leaks may remain undetectable despite reasonable care and skill.

Excavation or intrusive investigation undertaken without Company re-attendance or confirmation removes any liability for accuracy verification.

As part of the diagnostic process, the Company may need to drill test holes in concrete or other surfaces to assist in locating the likely area of a leak. All reinstatement, repairs or cosmetic works resulting from such drilling are the Client’s responsibility.

No representation or warranty is made that all leaks will be located.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and indemnify the Company from any loss, damage or cost arising from:

• Undetected leaks
• Inaccurately interpreted findings
• Excavation or intrusive works

By engaging the Company, you accept these limitations and assume full responsibility for any damage arising from excavation or intrusive investigation works.

Residential Leak Detection Service Fee: $385.00 (inc GST)

Additional Services (Charged Only If Required)

• Nitrogen Gas – $110.00 per use
• Tracer Gas – $185.00 per use
• Pressure Test (if no leak is located) – $220.00
• No Acces Minimum Call Out Fee - $185.00

Rural Properties

The first 2 hours are included in the standard service rate. If additional time is required, it will be charged at $185.00 per hour (inc GST).

1. Scope of Services

The Company provides leak detection services using acoustic, tracer gas, pressure testing and thermal imaging technologies. All services are diagnostic in nature only.

 

2. Client Responsibilities

The Client must:

• Provide safe, clear and unobstructed access to relevant areas
• Ensure plumbing systems are isolated or prepared as required
• Visually confirm findings prior to excavation
• Re-engage the Company if excavation alters site conditions

All excavation is undertaken at the Client’s risk.

 

3. Diagnostic Limitations

Leak detection accuracy is influenced by site conditions including soil composition, structural materials, environmental noise, pressure levels, multiple leaks and concealed pipework.

All results are indicative only and subject to interpretation.

 

4. Re-Attendance

If excavation or intrusive works occur without Company supervision or confirmation, the Company accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the identified location.

Additional fees apply for repeat visits, re-testing or confirmation scans.

 

5. Access, Safety & Environmental Conditions

The Company may suspend or cease work where safety risks, excessive environmental noise, flooding, electrical interference or other site conditions prevent reliable detection.

 

6. Liability & Indemnity

To the extent permitted under the Australian Consumer Law:

Liability is limited to the re-supply of the services or the cost of re-supply.
The Company is not liable for:

• Excavation damage
• Missed, secondary or subsequent leaks
• Consequential, indirect or economic loss
• Actions of third-party contractors

The Client indemnifies the Company against all claims, loss or damage arising from excavation or intrusive works.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

 

7. Payment & Acceptance

Engaging the Company constitutes acceptance of:

• The diagnostic limitations outlined above
• The Terms & Conditions in full
• Payment will be made in full
