    In Memory of Jack Bob Smith

  • Embre & Garrett Smith were full time members of the West Texas Junior Champions Tour for most of their junior careers. Their grandparents, Jack Bob and Peggie, were present at nearly every single tournament they played in. Golf was a passion in the Smith household and when Jack Bob passed away in Spring of 2017, Peggie wanted to honor his and their grandchildren’s names by providing a scholarship to those WTJCT members that have the same drive and determination for the game of golf. We are happy to be able to provide the outlet for the Smith family to contribute a scholarship in the name of their family.

    Application Qualifications:

    • Must be a good standing member of the WTJCT for the current season
    • Must be a graduated/graduating senior for class of 2026
    • Must have plans to attend a college/university of Fall 2026

    Deadline to submit application is posted on the website. Applications must be completed in their entirity to be accepted.

    Selection of Scholarship Receipients:

    Two applicants will be selected and awarded the Embre & Garrett Smith Scholarship. The receipients will be announced at the WTJCT Tour Championship awards at end of summer and shared on our Facebook page. Applicants do not have to be present to accept. This scholarship is a one time cash scholarship.
