Events submitted to the Visit Europe website should be clear, engaging, and easy for an American audience to understand. The goal is to inspire travelers by highlighting authentic events that reflect local culture, creativity, and everyday life across Europe.
Content should focus on meaningful, locally rooted experiences rather than purely promotional activities. Well-known events can be included, but they should be balanced with smaller or lesser-known events that offer a genuine sense of place and community.
The tone should be informative, approachable, and neutral. Please avoid marketing language, superlatives, or sales-driven descriptions. Instead, aim to clearly explain what the event is, who it is for, and what makes it culturally relevant.
When submitting an event, we recommend:
- Clearly describing the type of event and what visitors can expect
- Highlighting its local or cultural significance
- Indicating when it takes place and how often it occurs (annual or recurring)
- Including practical information, such as whether the event is free or ticketed and how to reach it by public transportation
- Adding one high-quality image that represents the event authentically
Submissions should prioritize events that are recurring and can remain relevant beyond a single season or year.
Images
- The article banner image should be 3744 × 1200 pixels (maximum).
- One chosen image to be inserted in the article should be 2580 × 1400 pixels.
- All images should be of high resolution: 300 dpi is recommended.
Hyperlinks
- At least one hyperlink is mandatory.
- You can add hyperlinks directly in the text (SEO purposes).
- Hyperlinks should describe the word linked to and differ from each other.
