Goals
- Spiritual Renewal: To provide a transformational experience for participants that deepens their faith in the Torah and strengthens their relationship with Yahuah.
- Community Impact: To engage in meaningful service activities that address local needs and enhance the lives of our Bantu-Niger-Congo people in Nigeria.
- Leadership Development: To equip men with practical skills and knowledge through workshops and training sessions that cultivate their leadership potential within a Hebrew context.
- Cultural Exchange: To foster mutual understanding and appreciation between participants and the Nigerian community, promoting cross-cultural relationships rooted in faith and Hebrew identity.
Objectives
- Conduct three days of Men's Retreat Workshops and Training focused on Torah observance, leadership, personal development, and spiritual growth in line with Hebrew teachings.
- Facilitate community outreach activities, including a free health screening at Maranatha Health Center, to provide essential medical services to underprivileged individuals.
- Organize site visits, including exploring the cultural heritage of Owo, to create shared experiences that encourage fellowship and learning among participants.
- Conclude with a celebratory worship service on Shabbat, creating a space for participants to share their experiences and insights gained throughout the trip, emphasizing their Hebrew identity and commitment to Torah observance.
Overall Description
The GAI Men's Retreat and Missions Trip to Nigeria is a week-long journey designed to engage men in spiritual growth, community service, and leadership development, all within the framework of Torah observance and Hebrew identity. From August 5 to 12, 2026, participants will arrive in Nigeria, where they will embark on a transformative experience that includes workshops, cultural immersion, and direct engagement with local communities. Sponsored and organized by Andrew Ben Yashar'el, the retreat aims to cultivate a sense of brotherhood among men, enabling them to return home inspired and equipped to serve their communities and grow in faith. With an itinerary that balances personal development, community service, and cultural exploration, this mission trip will leave a lasting impact on both the participants and the communities they serve.
