Program Information
Campers will engage in dynamic SEL sessions, interactive financial literacy workshops sponsored by Pinnacle Bank, hands-on law experiences and mock trial simulations, and exciting project-based learning activities designed to build confidence, leadership, and real-world skills. In addition, each student will have the opportunity to receive specialized training in one of three arts focus areas. Participants can choose the track that best matches their passions and future goals. Explore the focus area descriptions below to find your perfect fit!

Culinary Arts

Get ready to chop, sauté, and grill your way through an unforgettable 6-week culinary arts experience! Under the guidance of a professional chef, you’ll master essential cooking skills, including knife techniques, sautéing, grilling, baking, and sauce-making. You'll learn how to budget for food costs, prep ingredients like a pro, and plate dishes like a master chef. By the end of the camp, you’ll have the skills to create delicious appetizers and a full three-course meal from scratch. Whether you’re dreaming of a career in the kitchen or just love to cook, this hands-on experience will take your culinary skills to the next level!

Fashion Design

This introductory course is perfect for teens interested in exploring a future in fashion. Students will learn the fundamentals of sewing, fabric identification, pattern reading, and garment construction while developing their own creative style. Through hands-on projects, participants will build confidence in their design skills and gain a foundational understanding of the fashion industry. No prior experience is required—just creativity and a willingness to learn!

Cosmetology

Designed for students curious about careers in barbering, women’s hair, skincare, makeup, and cosmetology within the human services field, this introductory course provides hands-on exposure to beauty fundamentals. Participants will learn basic hair styling techniques, skincare principles, grooming practices, and professional etiquette while exploring the many career pathways within cosmetology. No prior experience is necessary—just an interest in beauty, wellness, and helping others look and feel their best.

Costs
PROGRAM COSTS:

Registration: $800 per student

MAY 15th, 2026 is the deadline for all camp registrations! All fees must be made in full by this date.

DEPOSIT DUE:

A deposit of $100 is due upon registration to secure the student's spot. The remaining balance is due by May 15th. An invoice with the remaining balance will be sent via email to the applicant.

HARDSHIP:

There are a limited number of hardship scholarships available. If you would like to apply for a hardship scholarship, please fill out the form here. A deposit is still required to secure you child's spot. If approved for financial assistance, the LOVE Academy will pay the remaining balance owed.

REFUND POLICY:

All sales are final.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

If my child is in middle school, are they still eligible for programming even if they aren't 13?
Yes! All programming is open to students currently in 7th grade through 12th grade. While that age range is typically 13-17, we allow rising 6th graders to participate as space allows.

If my child is homeschooled or attends a private school, can they still participate in the summer camp?
Yes! Our program is open to students in Nashville and surrounding areas, including Rutherford County, Williamson County, and Sumner County, Wilson County, and Montgomery County.

Will transportation be provided for the summer camp?
Not at this time. However, Davidson County students may use their student ID to ride the city bus (We Go Transit) for free.

Will the camp be closed for Juneteenth or July 4th?
We will remain open on June 19th as we have a scheduled enrichment field trip to the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. We will close on July 3rd, 2026 as it leads to July 4th.

What does the registration fee cover?
Breakfast and lunch everyday, program materials, and transportation for approved field trips.

Where will all the field trips take place and can parents/guardians attend as chaperones?
We currently have two out-of-town day field trips scheduled to the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL (June 12) and the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, TN (June 19). We will have a limited number of chaperone spots available based on first-come, first-serve and welcome parents/guardians to join us.

Informed Consent and Acknowledgement

I hereby give my approval for my child’s participation in any and all activities prepared by the L.O.V.E. Academy during the selected camp dates. In exchange for the acceptance of said child’s candidacy by the L.O.V.E. Academy, I assume all risk and hazards incidental to the conduct of the activities, and release, absolve and hold harmless the L.O.V.E. Academy and all its respective officers, agents, and representatives from any and all liability for injuries to said child arising out of traveling to, participating in, or returning from selected camp sessions, including prior authorized weekly field trips.

In case of injury to said child, I hereby waive all claims against the L.O.V.E. Academy, including all program instructors, program coordinators, facilitators, camp counselors, volunteers, board trustees and affiliates, all participants, sponsoring agencies, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event.
Medical Release and Authorization

As Parent and/or Guardian of the named student, I hereby authorize the diagnosis and treatment by a qualified and licensed medical professional, of the minor child, in the event of a medical emergency, which in the opinion of the attending medical professional, requires immediate attention to prevent further endangerment of the minor’s life, physical disfigurement, physical impairment, or other undue pain, suffering or discomfort, if delayed.

Permission is hereby granted to the attending physician to proceed with any medical or minor surgical treatment, x-ray examination and immunizations for the named athlete. In the event of an emergency arising out of serious illness, the need for major surgery, or significant accidental injury, I understand that every attempt will be made by the attending physician to contact me in the most expeditious way possible. This authorization is granted only after a reasonable effort has been made to reach me.

Permission is also granted to the L.O.V.E. Academy and its affiliates including Directors, Coordinators, Facilitators, Counselors, and Volunteers to provide the needed emergency treatment prior to the child’s admission to the medical facility.

Release authorized on the dates and/or duration of the registered camp.

This release is authorized and executed of my own free will, with the sole purpose of authorizing medical treatment under emergency circumstances, for the protection of life and limb of the named minor child, in my absence.
