  • Eligibility/Application Requirements

  • 1. Must be enrolled in or accepted for enrollment in a four-year accredited college or university, an accredited community college, or an accredited trade school, in an agricultural-related field, culinary arts or technical/ vocational program.
    Agricultural-related fields include majors and options such as, but not limited to, agricultural and resource economics, agricultural business, agronomy and range science, agricultural science, agricultural systems management, animal science, avian sciences, bio-resource and agricultural engineering, plant protection science, dairy science, entomology, earth sciences, environmental horticultural science, environmental design, environmental management and protection, landscape architecture, food science, environmental toxicology, forestry and natural resources, fruit science, soils and biogeochemistry, agricultural education and communication, home economics, environmental resource sciences, agribusiness, pomology, animal science, vegetable crops, nematology, earth and soil sciences, plant pathology, food science and nutrition, wildlife and fisheries biology, horticulture and crop science, pest management, natural resources management, child, family and consumer science, viticulture and enology, atmospheric science, and hydrologic science.
  • 2. Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0
  • 3. A personal statement of no more than one typed page (single-spaced) must accompany your application. Please indicate why you are pursuing your desired career and what you hope to accomplish.
  • 4. A copy of your transcript (accumulative and current) must accompany this application.
  • 5. Final applicants may be required to participate in a formal interview with the Scholarship Committee.
  • 6. Each application packet must include:
    a. Woodland's Dinner on Main application form
    b. Personal statement
    c. Copy of your transcript (accumulative and current)
    d.Two current letters of recommendation on letterhead stationery containing name, address, phone number and email and personally signed by such person. (One must be from a professional educator)
    Only an official "Woodland's Dinner on Main" application will be accepted. Applications may be printed from our web site, https:// www.woodlandsdinneronmain.org/
    Note: Only complete packets will be considered.
  • 7. Application packets and all their contents become the property of Woodland's Dinner on Main.
  • 8. Verification: All scholarship checks will be paid directly to the recipient upon receipt of proof of enrollment. All money may be used only for tuition, fees, books, materials and supplies, housing and meals purchased on campus.
  • 9. Scholarship recipients are requested at the Dinner on Main pre-program for introduction, scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026. (if available)
  • 10. Scholarship amounts between $1000 and $2,500.00 will be awarded for 4-year college or university programs, and/or vocational programs.
    Scholarships of $1,000.00 will be awarded for community college programs.
  • 11. Applicants must be a resident of Yolo County and attend high school in Woodland, Davis, Winters, Esparto or Yolo to qualify for this scholarship.
  • 12. Completed application packets can be submitted either:

    • by mail to Woodland's Dinner on Main - Scholarships, P.O. Box 1083, Woodland CA 95776.
    Email or postmark no later than 5:00 P.M. on March 31, 2026.
    Recipients will be notified first by mail/email after April 20, 2026.
