    • About the Training
    • In collaboration with the Roca Impact Institute, is NC Office of Violence Prevention hosting a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) training and coaching series for a select group of violence prevention practitioners at no-cost to participants.

      This two-day, in person training is designed for frontline violence prevention practitioners who provide direct services to individuals aged 16 to 24 years old.

      The Roca Rewire CBT training and coaching series is designed to prepare practitioners to implement and integrate CBT as a core behavior change intervention with the populations that they serve. Rewire CBT is a fully mobile curriculum that focuses on teaching basic concepts in frequent “doses”. The training series delivers seven Rewire CBT skills that staff can implement with high-risk youth and young adults to drive behavior change through learning to think, feel and do (act) differently.

      Participants who complete the training will receive a full suite of Rewire CBT materials that includes:

      1. Rewire CBT curriculum, including easy-to-use step-in workshops;
      2. Skill keycards for mobile use in the field;
      3. Worksheets and activities to enhance learning and practice; and
      4. Four one-hour weekly virtual group coaching sessions for participants following the training.

      The Rewire CBT training and coaching series provides a significant investment in the professional development of frontline practitioners. The training is valued at a typical cost of approximately $1400 per participant. Through this opportunity, the full cost of participation in the training is covered so that selected participants can attend free of charge.
