  • 2026 HIMSS WA Scholarship Program Application 

    Scholarships will be offered to undergraduate, graduate students, and transitioning military veterans students that exhibit academic excellence and leadership, in the healthcare science , technology, business, and public policy sectors.

    The 2026 Scholarship application period is open from April 1st to May 13th. Completed applications must be submitted no later than May 13th, and award recipients will be notified in early-June.

    Important Reminder: You must be an active HIMSS member to apply for the scholarship. Become a student member with the WA chapter is quick and affordable (Chapter member $39/year or Student $49/year). Click here to become a member.

    Scholarship winners have the opportunity to give back by volunteering at two events during the 2025/2026 academic year to promote and share their experience in the scholarship program.

    Previous scholarship winners are ineligible.

    HIMSS WA Scholarship Program requires a reference Letter by an Academic Instructor, Academic Advisor, Professional Manager or HIMSS WA Student Engagement Committee Mentor.

    Note: The author of the letter of reference should attest to the leadership qualities, healthcare experiences, academic and/or professional achievements recognized during the time spent/worked together, matching the extracurricular activities & academic achievements the applicant has previously listed.
