• Store chemicals per SDS; keep lids closed; label containers
• No overloaded outlets; report frayed cords/equipment issues
• Keep lint/dust controlled (especially around sterilizers/venting)
• Know where to dispose of flammables per facility policy

Codes vary by facility. Use your facility orientation sheet. When in doubt, call the facility emergency number or notify your supervisor.

Common Codes:
• Code Red: Fire
• Code Blue: Medical emergency (adult)
• Code Pink: Infant abduction
• Code Gray: Security/combative person
• Code Silver: Person with weapon/active threat
• Code Orange: Hazardous material spill
• Code Black: Bomb threat
• Code Triage/MCI: Mass casualty/large influx
• Severe weather/tornado/hurricane: Facility-specific

Section E2: Facility-Specific Policies (Always Follow Site Rules)
• Attendance & call-outs: follow site call-out number/procedure and minimum notice requirements;
• Behavior: professional conduct; respectful workplace; follow supervisor directions;
• Phone use: no personal calls/texting in restricted areas; never photograph/record in the facility;
• Badge/ID: wear badge visibly; do not share badges; follow access rules for restricted areas;
• When unsure: ask the charge/supervisor or follow the site orientation sheet.

Section F: Evacuation Basics
• Know primary/secondary routes; follow posted maps
• Horizontal evacuation first (to next smoke compartment) when directed
• Do not use elevators during fire alarms unless directed by facility policy
• Meet at designated assembly areas when evacuating externally

• Smoke/odor near sterilizer: notify supervisor, shut down per policy, pull alarm if fire suspected
• Small trash can fire: alert, contain, extinguisher only if trained and safe
• Chemical spill: isolate, notify, follow SDS/Code Orange procedure
• Alarm sounding: stop work safely, secure loads if time allows, follow RACE and supervisor direction
