Camp Erin Camper Registration with Medical 2026
  • Thank you for your interest in your child(ren) attending Camp Erin Denver 2026.  We are excited about this year's camp and look forward to a meaningful camp experience.  Please read through this entire cover page for important information about camp and the application process.

    - Please add shimmeringwings3@gmail.com as a safe sender to your address book and be sure to check your junk/spam folder in case an email inadvertently goes there.

    - Camp Erin Denver 2026 will be held July 31 - August 2 at a site located in southern Colorado.

    - We are hoping to secure a block of rooms nearby for those families who want to stay during that weekend.   More information will be provided as it becomes available.

    - You will need to complete a separate application for each child in your family that you want to come to camp.

    - If your child has not attended Camp Erin in the past, we will be contacting you via phone, text and/or email to schedule an interview with you after we have received their application.  This gives us an opportunity to talk about camp, learn more about the death loss and determine whether camp is a good fit for your child(ren) at this time.  It will also give you an opportunity to ask any questions or wonderings you and your child(ren) have.  We anticipate beginning to schedule those interviews later in the spring.

    -   The interviews typically takes 45 - 60 minutes. We appreciate your making time for the interview a priority as we are unable to accept a child to camp without having had the pre-camp interview.

    - Please be aware that after three attempts to contact you without a response, we will consider your child's application inactive.

    - Space is limited at this year's camp and children who have had a previous Camp Erin experience will be wait listed until new camper applicants have been placed.  We anticipate that we will be able to update returning camper applicants about their status on or about June 28,2025.

    - Pending the outcome of the pre-camp interview, campers will be accepted on a first come basis.  Once we reach capacity in a cabin group, additional new camper applicants will be wait listed on a first come basis and will be accepted to camp before children who have attended camp in the past as space becomes available.

    - We are often asked by adult caregivers if they can volunteer at the same time their child is attending camp.  For a variety of reasons, it is our policy to not have a child's adult caregiver volunteer at the same time that the camper is attending.

    - Please mark your calendar for July 18, 2026 when we will have our camp meet and greet, tentatively scheduled from 9:00 am to noon. Breakfast will be provided. This is an opportunity for you receive important information about camp including how to get there. what to pack and what campers can expect during the weekend.   This will also provide an opportunity for our campers to meet the volunteers and other campers who will be in their respective cabin group.

    - If you are unable to attend the meet and greet, we will hold a zoom meeting the following week when you will get the same information.

    - If you have any questions in the interim, please reach out to us by email at shimmmeringwings3@gmail.com or by phone at 720-443-3178.

On behalf of the Camp Erin Denver 2026 Team,
