  • There are a few ways to get involved with our major fundraiser of the year and giving back to the Oyster Bay community. Each family will be allocated a shift over the festival weekend. If an allocated shift doesn't work for you, we'd love your help in one of the following areas.

Wednesday Art Set Up: We’re looking for volunteers to help set up the art display boards for the art gallery on Wednesday night. This role involves heavy lifting, including moving the display boards to the gallery and installation. The use of basic tools may also be required.

Thursday and Friday Set Up: This involves helping our Committee Lead volunteers set up their areas. This role is varied and can involve, helping our artists check in their pieces and having them moved to our dedicated galleries, sorting through our book and op shop donations and setting up these stalls, moving chairs from the storeroom to where the stage area will be, setting up our Devonshire Tea cafe, helping with signage.

Friday Night Bar Staff: This role is where you are at the heart of the launch party serving drinks. This role requires you to have a valid RSA.

Friday Night Launch Party: We have a variety of roles for you to work the Friday night including Art Sales, Book Stall and Op Shop. If you work the Friday night you receive free entry to the event.

Saturday Morning Bump In Support: This is an early shift which then gets your shift out of the way so you can enjoy the rest of the festival weekend. Bump in support is supporting our vendors and stall holders to get their cars and stock for their stall in and out as quickly as possible to set up for the weekend.

Crazy Hair and Nails Stall: This is painting nails and doing some crazy hair on kids using different coloured hair sprays. This role requires you to have a valid working with children check (WWCC).

Kids Games & Disco: This is a new addition to the festival and will involve supervising the games and disco area. This role requires you to have a valid working with children check (WWCC).

Sunday Pack Down: This is where many hands make light work. We need to pack away to get the school back in order ready for students again on Monday. This involves helping to move things to storage, helping stall holders to get off site and returning the classrooms to their pre-festival layout.
