Event Rules & Information
-Please pick up ALL dog waste and trash, even if it is not yours! We are lucky to be able to use this location and want to continue to do so.
-Please promptly arrive no later than 8:00am to check in and be prepared for the first pair to begin at 9:00am. We will have a handlers meeting at 8:30am (these times are subject to change- all attendees will be made aware if so.)
-You will be in a random draw preselected prior to the day of. If there are conflicts please let an event organizer know ASAP. Draw will be sent out once entries close.
-The use of corrections/rewards and tools are allowed but must be used seldomly to keep things moving. Ex. Rewarding throughout is discouraged. Quick rewards after bigger portions- acceptable.
-Do overs of exercises are only allowed once for time sake. If your dog messes up an exercise, help them be successful the next repetition, then move on. Ex. Your dog doesn't do the sit in motion, quickly assess how to get your dog to do the exercise, if they refuse again, move to the next.
You do not have to do every exercise. The judge will only critique the exercises you complete.
-If a correction is needed please be conscious of others around. This is NOT a sanctioned event, but it is public and we must maintain appearance.
-If you would like to do extra protection, or if you are doing a BH and would like to do protection we will offer it, time depending, once all routines are finished. This will be an additional fee.
-If you have a BIS please let us know, you will go last with a demo dog.
