2026 is Your Year to Volunteer. Join the cause and share your journey with others!
2026 is International Volunteer Year (IVY2026), a year-long celebration of the people and organisations that make volunteering such a powerful force for good.
We’re inviting a small group of IVY2026 Ambassadors to help bring this to life by trying different volunteering experiences across Western Australia and sharing what it’s really like.
As an ambassador, you’ll explore a variety of volunteering opportunities (different causes, different settings, different experiences) and create content for the Volunteering WA social media channels along the way. You'll have creative freedom for what you want to post, but think first impressions, “a day in the life” clips, and honest reflections that help others see how accessible volunteering can be.
What’s our role?
Please note that this is a self-driven opportunity. Volunteering WA will support you with guidance, ideas and IVY2026 messaging, but you’ll apply for volunteering opportunities yourself. We’re here to connect, encourage and guide — not to set up bespoke roles or manage your volunteering. This is your chance to be independent and creative!
