Application Guidelines
The Scholarship is provided by the Ladies Guild of St. Stanislaus Parish for the academic year, 2025-2026. It is a one-time award of $500.
REQUIREMENT: The scholarship will be awarded to a currently enrolled student from the Parish who will further his/her education in a College, Trade School, or post High School Institution.
WHO CAN APPLY: Any active member of the Parish who has completed High School and wishes to further his/her education at a College, Trade School or post High School Institution. The Applicant must be currently attending or enrolled in school.
PROCESS FOR APPLICANT: Fill out an Application Form and write an Essay (up to 500 words) incorporating the five areas listed below with the associated percentage weight.
1. How this award will help defray costs in furthering your education - 30%
2. Your Church-related activities - 40% (i.e., choir, Polish Festival, Liturgical Ministry, Christmas activities). Applicants listing Faith Formation and/or Youth Group activities must also include a letter from the Group Leader verifying participation.
3. Your student activities -10%
4. Your community service -10%
5. Your Academic achievements -10%

DISTRIBUTION PROCESS: An announcement will be in the bulletin that the applications will be available online beginning on February 23rd and must be submitted and received no later than May 15th. No applications will be accepted after that date.
COMMITTEE REVIEW PROCESS: Three (3) Finalists will be selected by the Scholarship Committee based on the Application scores. These Finalists will be notified, and it is then the Applicant's responsibility to arrange for a short meeting with the Parish Administrator. This meeting will entail a short discussion of the Applicant's Faith Values and the opportunity for Evangelization in their daily life. Following this meeting the Committee will select the Scholarship Winner. This meeting must be completed prior to June 14th.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF AWARD: The Scholarship will be announced at the Graduation Mass on June 14th. A congratulatory write-up of the person selected will be in the Bulletin after the Graduation Mass.
PAYMENT PROCESS: The student receiving a scholarship must present a statement or bill from the school they will be attending to the Parish Office. The money will be paid directly to the Institution towards their school expenses.
