WAIVER
By registering for and/or participating in the CPVC Miles For Missions 5K Run, I undersigned, acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
I understand that participation in a 5K run involves physical activity that may be strenuous and carries with it inherent risks, including but not limited to, injury, illness, or even death. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in this event, whether caused by the negligence of event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, or other participants. I confirm that I am physically fit and capable of participating in the 5K run. I have consulted with my physician if necessary and have received clearance to participate in this event. I further acknowledge that if I experience any medical issues during the event, I will immediately inform event staff and seek appropriate medical attention. I hereby waive, release, and hold harmless the event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, officials, and any other parties involved in organizing, promoting, or staging this event from any and all liability, claims, damages, and expenses, including attorneys' fees, arising out of or in connection with my participation in the event, whether caused by the negligence of the above-mentioned parties or otherwise. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the event organizers and all other parties involved in the event from any loss, liability, damages, or costs (including attorneys' fees) arising out of my actions or omissions during my participation in the event. I grant permission to the event organizers and their affiliates to use, reproduce, and distribute any photographs, video recordings, or other media taken of me during my participation in the event for promotional, marketing, or advertising purposes. This permission includes but is not limited to, use in social media, websites, print materials, and any other media, without compensation or further consent. I acknowledge that the event organizers reserve the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify the event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to, weather conditions, acts of God, or government mandates. In the event of cancellation or postponement, there will be no refund of registration fees. I agree to comply with all rules, regulations, and instructions provided by event organizers and volunteers, including but not limited to, the event schedule, health and safety protocols, and behavior expectations.
By signing this waiver, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily accept the terms and conditions outlined above. I certify that all the information I have provided is accurate.
