  • The PRIDE Mentoring Program is sponsored by the Office of Student Inclusion & Belonging at Widener University. The program is designed to assist in the academic performance and retention of the students that participate.

The PRIDE Mentoring Program can be a fun experience for Mentors. PRIDE Mentors serve as mentors and role models to new Widener students (proteges) by following up on their academic progress, social progress, and their overall transition into college life. They play a critical role in sharing their experiences with protégés. Being a PRIDE Mentor consists of weekly communication with your assigned protégé, a monthly mentor meeting, as well as opportunities for professional development, networking, and other social activities. Many go on to use the Office of Student Inclusion & Belonging as a reference for future endeavors.Mentors and proteges are expected to connect weekly and participate in monthly activities and workshops.
