The Academic All Stars program (previously the All-Academic Team) was established to honor the scholastic achievements of Theta Tau Brothers and Candidate Chapter Members in the classroom. It is open to all undergraduates with a Fall-term grade point average (GPA) of 3.4 or more calculated on a 4.0 scale (4.4 for schools on a 5.0 scale) for the Fall 2025 semester or quarter. Members will be recognized on the Educational Foundation’s website. The qualifying member from each of the ten Theta Tau regions with the highest GPA will be named a “Most Valuable Academic Brother (MVAB)” and will be further rewarded with an honorarium from the Educational Foundation. Ranking is based on one’s Fall 2025 term GPA – not the cumulative GPA. An earlier initiation date will be preferred to break a tie, next the most Fall credit hours, and if those are also equivalent then the award will be shared.
Applicants must be undergraduate members of Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity or Candidate Chapters when applying and must have been a member for at least six (6) months as of the filing deadline, be in good standing with their chapter, and have taken at least 12 credit hours during the preceding Fall term that are included in the GPA calculation by the college (or equivalent classes for schools that don’t use credit hours). To apply, one must submit this application by April 10, 2026, completing all items including: 1) uploading one's grade report for the Fall 2025 semester or a current transcript (including Fall 2025) and, 2) a portrait-style photograph (i.e., head and shoulders) suitable for publishing on the Foundation website.
By applying, applicants consent to the use and publishing of their personal information in connection with the Academic All Stars program. Rules may change without notice, and decisions of the Theta Tau Educational Foundation are final.
