2026 Sparta VFW Ralph Rojas Scholarship Application Form
Sparta VFW Post #7248 will provide twelve 2026 Sparta VFW Ralph Rojas scholarships totaling at least $31K to be used towards winners’ 2026-2027 academic year postsecondary educational-related expenses. One $5k scholarship, one $4K scholarship, two $3K scholarships, and eight $2K scholarships will be awarded. At least one scholarship has been designated to be awarded to an applicant pursuing a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) degree. The application deadline is April 20, 2026. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 11, 2026, and scholarship checks will be awarded during a ceremony at the Sparta VFW May 20, 2026.

In order to qualify for a 2026 Sparta VFW Ralph Rojas Scholarship, applicants must be pursuing either a technical/trade school program, a continuing education program, or an undergraduate/postgraduate degree and be a:

- Sussex County, New Jersey Veteran, or

- Spouse of a Sussex County, New Jersey Veteran, or

- Child of a Sussex County, New Jersey Veteran, or

- Active duty military stationed at Picatinny Arsenal or said immediate dependents, or

- Sussex County, New Jersey student who has been accepted into an ROTC program or a service academy/school.

Applicants must submit a completed application form and will receive confirmation of application receipt by email.

2026 Sparta VFW Ralph Rojas Scholarship recipients will be selected by the scholarship committee based upon Veteran status, character and academic achievement. Phone or in-person interviews may be conducted if deemed necessary. Scholarships can be applied for annually provided qualifications and residency requirements remain fulfilled.
