  • SB Navigators – Player Conduct Guide

    1. Our Mission

At South Bend Navigators, our mission is to develop the character of young men and women through soccer—cultivating Christlike attitudes, discipline, and teamwork both on and off the field.

    2. Player Expectations

    • Honor God in all we do, including attitude, speech and effort.
    • Respect your teammates, coaches, opponents, referees, and spectators.
    • Show up on time and be ready to train or play.
    • Be mentally and physically present during all practices and games.
    • Work hard — give your best in games and practices.
    • No gossip, bullying, profanity, disrespectful or inappropriate behavior on or off the field.
    • Be coachable — listen, learn, and grow.
    • Represent the team well at home games, away games, and online.
    • Do not use cell phones during team practices and games unless approved by a coach.
    • Update practice and game schedule status in Gamechanger app and if absent, let coaches know why you are missing. Repeated missing of practice time will impact playing time.

    3. Dress Code & Gear

    • Wear appropriate practice gear:
      • Cleats, shin guards and soccer socks over shin guards for every practice.
      • Please wear t-shirts to practice, no tank tops or sleeveless shirts.
    • Keep uniforms clean and ready for game day.
    • No distracting or inappropriate clothing or accessories.

    4. Parent & Family Conduct

    • Encourage positive support from the sidelines.
    • Allow coaches to coach and referees to officiate.

    5. Consequences

We recognize that we’re all growing, but repeated or serious violations may result in:

    • Verbal warning
    • Conversation with parent(s)
    • Reduced playing time or suspension
    • Dismissal from the team (in rare cases)

All discipline will be handled with fairness, grace, and a desire for restoration.
