Information for Scholarship Applicants
The purpose of the WPGA Junior Foundation scholarship program is to assist graduating high school and college students in financing their college education. There are 2 separate scholarship forms. One is for graduating high school seniors and the other is for current college students. Please choose the appropriate one. In 2025, the WPGA Junior Foundation awarded thirty eight scholarships totaling $90,000. We anticipate awarding even more in 2026.

If you are a PGA PGM student, you will be asked to indicate that on either application. You will be considered for the Tony Coleman Memorial Scholarship and the general scholarships.

BACKGROUND_______________________________________

Created in 1999, the WPGA Junior Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to the mission of promoting the game of golf by providing positive opportunities, enjoyment, and education to Wisconsin junior golfers and their families. We accomplish this through our tournament series and player development programs whereby allowing us to provide scholarships and grants to deserving participants.
Criteria
College Student Criteria
1.   Applicants must be a college student.
2.   Applicants must have been a past WPGA Junior Member to apply
3.   Applicants must be in college and a full-time course of study at an accredited college or university in the United States.
4.   Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale).
5.   Applicants must have attended a Wisconsin High School for a minimum of four semesters.
6.   Children of employees of the WPGA Junior Foundation, Inc. or WPGA
Section Office are not eligible for the scholarship.
7. Applicants must have been a WPGA Junior Member 3 of the past 4 years they were eligible to be. (For example, you were a junior member in 2021, 2022, 2023, not in 2025.)

College Student Application Criteria
1.    No more than 3 total scholarships will be awarded to one applicant
2.   Completed WPGA Junior Foundation Scholarship Application
3.   Official College Transcript from current college year
4.   Write a 250 word essay about how your experiences with the WPGA Junior events/programs have influenced your college career.
5.   Two letters of recommendation and must accompany the completed application form.
6.   Selection is based on scholastic achievement, contributions to school and community, moral character, personality, initiative, citizenship and leadership.
Deadline
The completed application and all supporting documents must be submitted by April 23, 2026. Please make sure to submitt all forms via download feature in this application.

Recipient will be notified by June 26, 2026

Selection Committee: The Board of Directors and appointed committee members of the WPGA Junior Foundation, Inc. will select the recipients of the scholarships.
