    THEME: All Works

    Located in the heart of Charlotte in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood, Sip City proudly offers a rotating selection of craft beers and wines from local breweries and vineyard. But Sip City is more than just a bottle shop—it’s a community hub. With an event space that hosts everything from baby showers and birthdays to corporate gatherings and football watch parties, they provide a place to celebrate every moment. Their space is available to reserve for free, and they offer flexible packages to elevate your event with drink options, local catering, and entertainment.

    Sip City is seeking 2D artwork to be showcased in the bottle shot for April through July, 2026. Works will be listed for sale and available for purchase by patrons. 

    Selected pieces will be displayed free of charge in Sip City's event space. 

    ELIGIBILITY

    Submitting artists must be current Queen City Art Members (any level). All artwork must meet specifications (below) to be considered.

    Note: This is a QCA CURATED show. Not all entries will be accepted

    Works can be new or old. Artwork may not be for sale in any other venue for the duration of the show. 3D artwork, scuplture, and video are ineligible for this opportunity.

    *Members who enter and are accepted to this call but do not deliver artwork may be barred from future submissions. 

    SUBMISSIONS
    All artwork must be submitted via this online form. This entry form will close once the deadline or exhibit capacity is reached. Accepted works will be exhibited at Sip City.

    Limit: 2 pieces per artist. 

    This is a CURATED show. Artwork must be NO LARGER than 36"x36"

     

    CALENDAR

    Submission deadline: Midnight Saturday, March 27th, 2026

    Artist acceptance date: Sunday, Monday, March 29h, 2026

    **Deliver artwork to Sip City Bottle Shop (917 Central Ave unit b, Charlotte, NC 28204): Monday, March 30 (5:30 - 7pm). Note: Artwork MUST must be properly mounted with D-Rings and wired. NO sawtooth hangers.

    Exhibition show dates: April 2026 - July 2026

    **Pick up exhibited work: July 2026 (Time/Date TBD)

    Note: Artwork left beyond pick up dates may become property of Queen City Art and/or subject to a holding fee of $5/day

     

    SPECIFICATIONS
    All entries must be original works - no reproductions. Works may include paintings, drawings, mixed media, photographs, prints, fiber art (2D), written word, poetry, or other 2D digital art.

    All hanging artwork MUST be properly mounted with D Rings and wired. NO sawtooth hangers. All works must be properly framed or gallery wrapped with finished sides. Works on paper must be protected by glass or plexiglass.

    Size of work may not exceed 36"x36", and must be under 40 lbs.

     

    Artwork may be rejected if we are not able to properly or safely install the work.

    PRICING & COMMISION
    All artwork must be available for sale. No "Price on Requests" will be accepted. Artist will receive 50% commission for all sold work. (30% is retained by the venue, 10% by the installer, and 10% by QCA for administrative fees.)

    LIABILITY
    Charlotte Art League (CAL) and Sip City will take every precaution in the handling of your artwork in the exhibition. However, CAL and Sip City accept no responsibility for any loss, theft or damage of artwork. Concerned artists should provide their own insurance coverage. Entries must remain for the duration of the exhibit and be picked up on the scheduled dates. CAL or Sip City reserve the right to decline any entry or withdraw any entry from the exhibition at it's discretion. CAL and Sip City reserves the right to photograph and reproduce any entry for educational or publicity purposes in any format. CAL and Sip City are not responsible for misprints, misspellings, errors or other omissions taken from artist’s information.

     

    ARTIST AGREEMENT
    My signature on this consent form indicates that I have carefully read this agreement, fully understand it's content, and agree to the terms stated above and in the accompanying prospectus. Acceptance of terms does not guarantee selection into the exhibition.
