Thank you for choosing Heartland Health Center as your medical home. When scheduling an appointment with our clinic, we set aside enough time to provide you with the highest quality of care. Missing an appointment or cancelling without a minimum of 24 hours’ notice, means that we are unable to offer your appointment time to other patients who need care. Please review the following expectations for cancelling and rescheduling appointments.
Appointment Confirmation: Heartland Health Center will attempt to reach you to confirm your appointment 1 week before and 24 hours prior to your appointment through a text reminder. Please respond to this message to confirm or cancel your appointment. If you need to reschedule, please call the clinic.
Timely Cancellation: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you give at least 24 hours’ notice.
On Time Arrivals: If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, the provider may no longer be able to keep your appointment and you will be asked to reschedule.
No Show Policy: If you miss multiple appointments without calling the clinic beforehand to cancel, you may no longer be allowed to schedule future appointments and be placed on “Same Day Scheduling” status. With this status, you may continue to use our clinic for same day scheduled appointments or as a “walk-in” patient. Staff will try to work walk-in patients into the schedule as long as it does not interfere with the care of previously scheduled patients. There is no guarantee that a “walk-in” patient will be able to be seen that day.
