• 2026 Policy Proposal Submission Form

Policy proposals may be submitted by ArMA's Board of Directors, any member of the association, any county or medical specialty society, or any committee or section of the association. All proposals should be accompanied by a fiscal note where appropriate. They may be submitted throughout the year. Each resolution must have at least one "Whereas" clause, one "Resolved," and the expected cost to implement, if applicable.
  • The ArMA Board of Directors has implemented criteria for new resolutions.

Please review ArMA's Compendium of Adopted Policies to ensure there is no current policy before submitting a resolution for consideration.

The resolution needs to meet at least one of the criteria requirements:

    • Does the resolution address a current need?
    • Is it directly applicable to the healthcare community?
    • Does it reflect emerging healthcare trends?
    • Is it within ArMA's or the AMA’s scope to accomplish this?

If you have questions about submitting a policy proposal, please see the Resolution Guidelines for additional information or contact Susan Brown.

  • The “whereas” clauses should explain the rationale for the resolution -- identify a problem or need for action, address its timeliness or urgency, its effects on residents, medical students, ArMA and/or the public at large and indicate whether the proposed policy or action will alter current ArMA policy.

  • The “resolved” clause(s) are the meat of the resolution. These clauses should be clear and concise and positively state the action or policy called for by the resolution, and they must stand alone.

  • Should be Empty:
