The Ministry of Human Services & Social Security Day/Night Care Early Childhood Development Centre aims to be the premier early childhood development in Guyana.
We will offer the following:
- A developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children.
- A setting of training, clinical and practicum experience to students.
- Parent training program
A photocopy of the following documents for the child must be attached to each application:
- Birth certificate
- Medical report
- Immunization card
- One passport size photo
CRITERIA FOR THIS FACILITY
- Child must come from a vulnerable family.
- The primary caregiver of the child must be employed or must be a teenage mother who is attending classes.
- Applicants must provide proof of employment (pay slip or employment letter).
- The Applicant’s salary must be under $150,000 per month.
- Child must be attending daycare for the first time.
- Each applicant should be referred from the Probation Department, School’s Welfare Department, Ministry of Health, Family Services or Childcare and Protection Agency. Each child should also have a case worker attached to the case for monitoring.
- All children should have a medical, birth certificate and immunization card.
- Each child should only be at the Centre for a maximum of 12 hours daily.
- Parents must disclose what allergies and food preferences their children have during the registration period.
- The parent must disclose children’s medical conditions prior to admission.
