RISK STATEMENT
1. It must be recognised that sailing is by its nature an unpredictable sport and therefore inherently involves an element of risk. By taking part in the event, you agree and acknowledge that;
2. You are aware of the inherent element of risk involved in the sport and you accept the responsibility of exposing yourself to such inherent risk whilst taking part in the event.
3. You will comply, at all times, with the instructions of the Race Officers particularly with regard to handling of boats, wearing of buoyancy aids and the wearing of suitable clothing for the conditions.
4. You accept responsibility for any injury, damage or loss to the extent caused by your own negligence.
5. You are responsible for the safety of yourself, your boat and your other property whether afloat or ashore. Your boat is in good order, equipped to sail in the event and you are fit to participate.
6. The provision of support boat cover is limited to such assistance as can be practically provided in the circumstances. Your boat is adequately insured. The RYA currently strongly recommend holding at least £5 million in third party liability. (rya.org.uk).
7. You agree to be bound by the current RYA Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2024-2028 & the Sailing Instructions for this event, the RYA Charter and the rules of the Cardigan Bay Regatta and follow reasonable direction of the Race Committee or officials.
8. You confirm that your boat conforms to any class rules.
DATA PROTECTION
The information given by you on this form will be used by us only to process your registration and for attending to you whilst you are at the event.
PHOTOGRAPHY
We may take photographs and video footage of the event for use by us in connection with publication in the local Press, our website and event sponsors. If you object to the use of these images indicate below
