  • Thank you for your interest in being a part of Sawubona Creativity Project Presents Philly Fringe 2025! We're excited to expand our community by bringing more exhilarating artwork and people to our space inSouth Philadelphia September 8 - 27, 2026.

    To be considered, please complete and submit this form by May 1st, 2026. Various types ofprojects are considered. We are especially interested in family friendly, BIPOC, women, and LGBTQ+ ledproductions.

    Our Hub Provides:

    • Administrative, marketing, & press support
    • Performance insurance coverage
    • Theatre assistant to assist with setup/breakdown and simple tech
    • Basic lighting package
    • A dedicated community of artists excited to support other creative

    The Facility: 

    • Facility spaces include a lobby, stage, flexible seating area, tech area, backstage, outdoor back patio, and snack bar with concessions*
    • Rehearsal space available if needed; dependent on availability at a rate of $30 per hour
    • This facility is appropriate for theatrical performances, dance, clowning, stand up shows, improv, sketch comedy, staged readings, and/or workshops and interactive performances
    • Performance space - 10ft. 11in. x 10ft (stage area), 8ft. 2 ½ in. (ceiling) 10ft. 11in. x 8ft. (backstage/green room), 7ft. x 12ft. (additional seating space), pre-set lighting looks (base), sound, & flexible seating options (up to 55 guests)

    Your requirements, if selected:

    • 45-60 min show that can load-in/out in less than 30 minutes on your approved show date
    • At least 1-2 volunteers for your front of house and/or tech on the night(s) of your event (additional SCP personnel is available at an additional cost of $20 per hour/per person: tech/box-office/usher/)
    • Artist(s) will make best attempt to promote and participate in video shoots, photo shoots, FringeArts Takeover (promotional excerpt of performance) & press events as necessary within week prior to and throughout festival and create, share and colloborate on posts via social media
    • Provide Sawubona Creativity Project any/all marketing material to be shared across social media
    • Complete all official Fringe obligations (registration fee, applications, documents handled via Eventotron)
    • Pay $280 Hub Artist Fee** for up to two shows
      • Each additional show is $80

    *Concessions: Lessor reserves the right to operate a concession during the event & intermissions (if applicable). Lessee will have no claim to proceeds nor take part in expenses of operating said concession.

    **Hub Artist Fee: Fringe Arts is responsible for ticketing your event. Artists retain 90% of ticket proceeds from their show; Fringe Arts will take a small box-office fee of 10% of ticket sales. Sawubona Creativity Project does not take a portion of ticket sales.

    Sawubona Creativity Project is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the charitable purposes of Sawubona Creativity Project must be made payable to “Fractured Atlas” only and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted bylaw.Fractured Atlas will receive grants for the charitable purposes of Sawubona Creativity Project, provide oversight to ensure that grant funds are used in accordance with grant agreements, and provide reports as required by the grantor.
