Important Information
What’s Included in Fostering & How It Works
Fostering with Grayson’s Rescue means opening your home temporarily to an animal in need while we work to find their forever family. Our goal is to make the process supportive and manageable for you.
What We Provide
Grayson’s Rescue covers:
- All veterinary care and medical expenses
- Food
- Basic supplies such as crates, bedding, leashes, and other essential items
- You will never be expected to cover veterinary costs or core care expenses out of pocket.
Your Role as a Foster
As a foster, you provide:
- A safe and loving home environment
- Daily care, supervision, and socialization
- Basic communication with our team about the animal’s progress
- Transportation to and from Vet appointments unless agreed upon otherwise.
- Assistance with meet-and-greets when a potential adopter is interested
We guide you every step of the way and are always available for support and questions.
We handle Adoptions
Grayson’s Rescue handles all adoption inquiries, applications, and final placement decisions. We will pass on or create a group chat with the new potential adopter since you likely know the foster pup better than us. If you do not think it is a good fit, we do not push the adoptions. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible for our fosters.
Length of Foster
The length of fostering varies depending on the animal’s needs, age, and adoption timeline. Some placements may be short-term, while others may take longer. We will always communicate expectations and work with you to find the best fit.
If It’s Not the Right Fit
We understand that every home and every animal is different. If for any reason the placement is not working out, the animal is always welcome to return to Grayson’s Rescue. Fostering is never meant to create hardship for your household, we are committed to finding solutions that work for everyone.
