WELCOME
Thank you for your interest in joining our 2026 Mission Trip Team to Uganda.

During this mission trip, we will serve Wells of Hope Ministries, a Christian organization in Uganda founded by Francis and Ellen Ssuubi. Wells of Hope provides education, housing, discipleship, and holistic support to:

• Children with an incarcerated parent
• Individuals currently in prison
• Men and women returning home after incarceration

In 2019, I began serving in Uganda through Camp David International, ministering to children whose parents were incarcerated. During one of those visits inside Luzira Women’s Prison, God began stirring a vision for a revival-style conference specifically for incarcerated women.

In 2025, that vision became a reality through the launch of the Jewel Warrior Diamonds Conference — a powerful gathering reminding incarcerated women of their value, identity, and worth in Christ in a culture where incarceration carries deep shame and stigma.

In August 2026, we are returning.

And you are invited to prayerfully consider joining us.

OUR THREE MINISTRY ASSIGNMENTS

1. Jewel Warrior Diamonds Conference (Inside the Women’s Prison)
We will minister directly inside the prison through:

Sharing testimonies
Teaching or preaching
Leading workshops
Prayer ministry
Worship through music, dance, or creative expression
God uniquely builds every mission team. Your gifts matter.

2. One-Day Conference for Formerly Incarcerated Women
We will host a special one-day fellowship for women who have transitioned home from prison. Many are mothers, grandmothers, and entrepreneurs rebuilding their lives.

They need encouragement, spiritual strengthening, and community support.

Your presence will matter deeply.

3. Serving the Children at Wells of Hope School
We will spend time at the Wells of Hope school where children live on-site while their parents are incarcerated.

We will:

• Play games
• Encourage them
• Share meals
• Laugh
• Love them as spiritual “Aunties” and “Uncles”

Dates: August 6–15, 2026
Team Goal: 10 Team Members
Departure Airport: Chicago (Each participant is responsible for transportation to Chicago.)

COST
Approximate Total: $3,700 per person

Includes:

• Airfare
• Lodging
• Meals in Uganda
• In-country ministry expenses

Does NOT include:

• Passport
• Visa (approx. $50)
• Yellow Fever vaccine (approx. $150 – required)
• Additional immunizations
• Personal spending

PAYMENT MILESTONES

1. $2,000 due May 11, 2026 (Airfare – subject to change)
2. $1,700 due July 6, 2026 (In-country costs)

If joining after May 11, airfare may increase.

WAIVER OF RESPONSIBILITY / ASSUMPTION OF RISK / MEDICAL RELEASE

In consideration of the benefits derived from being accepted for voluntary service on a Jacob’s Ladder Ministries Short-Term Mission Trip, and fully understanding that the risks associated with such service may include, but are not limited to, injury or death by accident, disease, terrorist acts, adverse weather conditions, inadequate medical care, and/or damage to or loss of personal property, I hereby volunteer my services despite such hazards.

I willingly assume these risks and, for myself and on behalf of my estate, heirs, executors, and administrators, fully release and discharge Jacob’s Ladder Ministries, its leaders and officers, sponsoring organizations, and Wells of Hope in Uganda from any, and all liabilities, claims, obligations, damages, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of my participation in the Uganda Mission Trip.

Furthermore, I grant permission for the above-mentioned parties to obtain medical treatment, hospitalization, and/or emergency services if necessary. I assume responsibility for all resulting medical expenses. Should it be necessary for me to return home due to medical reasons or family crisis, I assume all related costs.

COMMITMENT
By signing below, I agree to the following:

● I am committed to serving the Lord on the Uganda Mission Trip with all my heart and energy.
● I understand that I may experience non-air-conditioned environments and cultural differences.
● I agree to follow the Global Opportunities Trip Guide.
● I understand the mission of Jacob’s Ladder Ministries.
● I understand the approximate cost of $3,700 and payment schedule.
● I give permission for photos and videos including myself to be used in promotional materials.
● I understand Jacob’s Ladder Ministries is not responsible for lost personal property.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
• One God in three persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit
• Jesus Christ’s deity, virgin birth, sinless humanity, substitutionary death, atoning blood, bodily resurrection and ascension to heaven
• The entire Bible is God’s infallible revelation to people
• Salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone
• The resurrection of the body: eternal glory for believers in heaven and everlasting punishment for unbelievers in hell

• God created man and woman, and marriage is a holy union between a man and a woman
