Learn about:
- Understanding Labor and Comfort Techniques: Learn about labor pain, 4P’s of labor signs, stages of labor. Also learn about having a labor support team, breathing/relaxation, massage, visualization/focal points, pushing positions, back labor/long labor, providing support.
- Understanding Medical Procedures and Cesarean: Learn about birth plans, decision making, induction & augmentation of labor, monitoring, pain medication and 2nd stage intervention. Get informed about reasons for cesareans, anesthesia, surgical procedures, risks, reducing risk of cesarean section, family centered care and recovery.
- Understanding Newborns and Postpartum: Learn about skin to skin contact, immediate medical procedures, first feeding, rooming-in, newborn hospital procedures, crying and sids. Learn about the physical recovery of birth, warning signs, emotions, support and health habits and breastfeeding.
- Car Seat Safety and CPR: Learn about how to safely fit your car seats to newborn, safe riding in car seats and CPR for the newborn.
