If medical attention, beyond the superficial needs of minor accidents/injuries, is deemed necessary by the camp administration, the first course of action would be to determine the severity of the injury/illness. If an emergency, 911 will be called to initiate medical attention. The next level of care would be to call the parents/emergency contacts for them to come and pick up the child to attend to the medical needs. If these persons cannot be reached, the camp administrators will transport the child to Urgent Care in Eagle at the Eagle Medical Center. Eagle Urgent Care services are located at Colorado Mountain Medical in Eagle, CO, offering same day and walk-in appointments for patients with acute injury or illness, as a convenient and affordable alternative to the Emergency Department for non-life threatening medical issues, located on the lower level entrance, 0377 Sylvan Lake Rd #120, Eagle, CO. This facility is open 8am-6pm each day of our camp, 970-926-6340. Parents will be fully responsible for all financial obligations regarding the above mentioned responses to medical needs. If a child has an Epi Pen or other medication needed in case of a known potential emergency, that medication must be in the possession of the camp counselor during day camp for immediate access. First Aid kits will be available to all counselors and camp staff.
All injuries will be reported to the parents/pick up contacts at the end of each camp day.
