Ethical/Institutional Review Board (IRB) Approval or Equivalent

If ethical/institutional review board approval has been received for the proposed project, letters stating approval with the title, date of approval, and protocol number should be submitted through the application. Or, in the absence of a formal review committee, an equivalent approval may be submitted in the form of a signed and dated letter from your project supervisor or advisor indicating (1) that they approve of the ethical acceptability of your project proposal, and (2) will provide oversight of its implementation to ensure adherence to the ethical standards of your field.

Proof of approval by a ethical/institutional review board is not required prior to submitting your application, but it is required before awards will be disbursed.

I am a current paid student member of SCRA, OR I understand that I must be a current member (i.e., paid membership dues) before I am able to receive my award.

I understand that the first 80% of the award will be disbursed only after I submit verification of IRB approval and required documents.

I understand that if I do not provide required documents for disbursement within three weeks of receiving the award that funds may be forfeit.

I understand that the second 20% of the award will be reimbursed only after I submit a final report, which is due on or before December 15, 2026.
