AKC Event Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk
Dog Tribe LLC & Chicago Pet Services, Inc.
I understand and agree that I am entering and participating in this American Kennel Club (AKC) event at my own risk. I acknowledge that dog training, competitions, trials, handling activities, and related event functions involve inherent risks, including but not limited to serious personal injury, property damage, illness, death, and loss involving handlers, dogs, spectators, and personal property.
By submitting this entry and participating in this event, I voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with my participation and my dog’s participation.
I hereby release, waive, discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless Dog Tribe LLC, Chicago Pet Services, Inc., the event venue, any affiliated AKC clubs or organizations, and their respective owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, partners, contractors, representatives, and volunteers from any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to my participation in this event, including but not limited to practice sessions, warm-ups, trial activities, and presence on the premises.
This release includes, without limitation, claims arising from personal injury, dog-to-dog interactions, dog bites, property damage, theft, illness, death, or loss of any kind affecting myself, my dog, or my property.
I agree that I am solely responsible for maintaining full control over myself and my dog at all times while on the event grounds and during any AKC-related activity. I further affirm that my dog is in good health, current on vaccinations as required, and eligible to compete under AKC rules and regulations.
By signing this entry form, I confirm that I have read, understand, and agree to comply with all applicable AKC rules, regulations, and event policies. I understand that no refunds will be issued to any handler who is excused, dismissed, or removed from the event for any reason.
Media Release
I grant permission to Dog Tribe LLC and Chicago Pet Services, Inc., and their authorized representatives, to photograph, video record, or otherwise document this event and any related activities.
I understand and agree that all photographs, videos, and recordings shall be the sole and exclusive property of Dog Tribe LLC and/or Chicago Pet Services, Inc., and may be used for promotional, educational, marketing, informational, or commercial purposes without compensation.
By signing this release, I waive any right to inspect, approve, restrict, or receive compensation for the use, publication, posting, reproduction, or distribution of any such images or recordings taken in connection with this event.
