Powering Possibility: Tools for Today’s Recreation and Facility Leaders
Recreation Nova Scotia (RNS) and Recreation Facility Association of Nova Scotia (RFANS) have received joint funding from the Province of Nova Scotia's Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism, and Heritage (CCTH) to provide financial assistance to attend the Atlantic Recreation & Facilities Conference (ARFC).
This funding will provide financial support to RNS and RFANS members to attend this engaging event, promoting healthy, vibrant community growth, innovation, diversity, inclusion, and collaboration through networking and connecting with peers in the sector.

Funding Details
- 12 conference registration fees
- 5 Full Conference Packages including: Registration fee, accommodation and $100 to support travel.
Applicant Eligibility
- Applicant must have a membership in good standing with either RNS or RFANS
- be a full-time recreation or facilities professional working within the province of Nova Scotia OR
- a full-time student enrolled in a recreation based program
Application Criteria

RNS and RFANS will accept applications and provide assistance based on determined criteria and an equitable approval process.

The following is a list of criteria that RNS and RFANS will take into consideration:
- Demonstrated need for funding
- The likelihood a delegate will not be able to attend without subsidy support
- Regional representation
- Representation from equity seeking individuals
- The number of applicants from the same organization
Deadline

Applications will be reviewed beginning March 16th with a rolling intake. Subsidy will be available until all funds have been used.
