This Musical Freestyle Exhibition class is NOT recognized by USEF or USDF.
Open to exhibitors competing at this show in;
- English Dressage First Level or above with a minimum score 63% for First Level through Fourth Level and 60% for FEI levels in the declared freestyle level. Proof of scores is required with this application.
- Western Dressage First Level or above with a minimum score 60% in the declared Freestyle level. Proof of scores is required with this application
Please submit this form along with your official entry. Will be limited to 15 rides on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the postmark/electronic date of the application/entry.
Limited to 1 entry per owner. Rider may only ride 1 horse. If 15 time slots are not filled, then it will be open to: 1. Entries on a waiting list, and 2. Entries with duplicate riders and/or duplicate owners.
The helmet rule is in effect. Whips are permitted.
Music is mandatory and must be submitted in mp3 format by August 25 to NationalEvents@ArabianHorses.org.

The time limit for English freestyle is 5 minutes. For a Grand Prix ride, the time limit is 6 minutes. For Western freestyle, the time limit is 6 minutes. There is no minimum time requirement. There will be no signal (bell or whistle) at the end of either the 5- or 6-minute period. If movements are performed after the time limit has elapsed, it will not be scored. One (1) point will be deducted from the total for artistic impression for exceeding the time limit. A 10-second grace period should be given before a deduction is taken. The program is timed from the horse’s move-off after the initial halt in the center of the ring, facing the judge(s), and salute, and ceases at the final salute at the center of the ring, facing the judge(s).
The rider must signal the sound engineer within 45 seconds of entering the ring or be eliminated. The rider must enter the arena within 30 seconds of the start of the music, or they may be eliminated at the discretion of the Judge(s). Exceeding 75 seconds after the bell has sounded before entering the arena will result in elimination. Must perform all normal gaits and may include collected and extended gaits.
Will be judged on music and interpretation of the music, choreography, and use of the arena, inventiveness, degree of difficulty, technical execution, rhythm & harmony between horse and rider.
50% for Artistic impression & 50% for technical execution of gaits and movements.
