  • JHP Art Along the Lake Guest Artist Application

  • The Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery is a non-profit art gallery operating as part of the greater Historic Cook County. As such, we curate our exhibitions and feature artists with the goal of furthering our mission to collect, preserve and share our material, cultural and artistic heritage. We will prioritize applications submitted by working regional artists, with consideration given to non-regional artists after this has been done.

    The Johnson Heritage Post is interested in hosting a guest artist during Art Along the Lake. Johnson Heritage Post's commission will be 35% of the retail price of each artwork sold. We are specifically looking for an artist that is interested and has availability to be part of programming (artist talks, demonstrations, etc).

    The Johnson Heritage Post will provide space for the guest artist in the gallery (an 8' x 8' corner of the center gallery), manage sells of artwork, promote the artist's display, provide storage space for backstock, and maintain the display through the course of the art tour.

  • We are looking for an artist who is interested in being a part of scheduled events during the duration of AATL. Are you interested in being part of additional programming opportunities (artist talk, demonstrations, etc.)?
  • Have you sold at or had past exhibitions at the Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery?
  • Are you a Cook County Historical Society Member?
  • Are you authorized to sell your artwork to JHP Art Gallery?
  • Do you understand that gallery commission on all sales will be 35%?
