Car Show – Vehicle Safety Rules & Regulations
To ensure the safety of guests, tenants, staff, and exhibitors, all participants must strictly adhere to the following safety requirements.
Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the event without refund.
1. Insurance Requirements
All vehicles must carry active, fully comprehensive automobile insurance coverage.
A valid Certificate of Insurance must be submitted prior to the event.
Insurance must remain valid for the full duration of the event.
Exhibitors assume full responsibility for their vehicle and any injury, loss, or damage arising from its display.
2. Battery & Electrical Safety
Interior Vehicle Displays (Mandatory Requirements)
The vehicle battery must be disconnected once the vehicle is in its final display position.
The negative terminal must be removed first.
Battery terminals must be properly covered to prevent accidental contact.
Keys must be removed from the vehicle at all times.
Alarm systems must be disabled.
No vehicle may be started while inside the building.
Vehicles that cannot safely have the battery disconnected must receive prior written approval from management.
Exterior Vehicle Displays
Vehicles must remain turned off during display hours.
No unnecessary idling is permitted.
Keys must not be left in unattended vehicles.
3. Fuel Requirements
For interior displays:
Fuel tanks must contain no more than one-quarter (¼) tank of fuel.
Locking gas caps are strongly recommended.
Any fuel leaks will result in immediate removal.
4. Fluid & Leak Prevention
Vehicles must be free of all fluid leaks (oil, coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, fuel, etc.).
Drip trays or absorbent mats are mandatory for all interior displays.
Vehicles found leaking at any time will be removed immediately.
5. Fire Safety
No engine revving, demonstrations, or mechanical testing is permitted.
No open flames, fuel containers, propane tanks, or hazardous materials are allowed.
Fire lanes, exits, and emergency pathways must remain clear at all times.
Management reserves the right to require fire extinguishers near select displays.
6. Vehicle Movement & Load-In/Load-Out
Vehicles may only be moved during scheduled load-in and load-out times.
A Royalty Crossing representative must be present when positioning indoor vehicles.
Vehicles must be walked into the interior of the property and at walk speed for exterior displays.
Once positioned, vehicles must remain stationary until authorized removal.
7. Public Safety & Display Setup
Management may require stanchions or barriers around vehicles.
Doors, trunks, and hoods must not obstruct walkways or emergency exits.
Guests are not permitted to sit inside vehicles unless pre-approved.
Sound systems must remain shut off at all times.
8. Property Protection & Cleanliness
Vehicles must arrive clean and show-ready.
Protective floor coverings are required for interior displays.
Exhibitors are financially responsible for any damage to mall property.
9. Right of Refusal & Removal
Royalty Crossing reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any vehicle that:
- Does not meet safety standards
- Fails to provide required insurance documentation
- Leaks fluids
- Creates excessive noise or disruption
- Poses any safety concern at management’s discretion
