    Mobile Food and Beverage Vendor Application

  • Each application will be carefully reviewed and considered for participation in Thursdays on Main. Decisions will be based on the date the application is received, the type of product offered, and its overall relevance to the event.  Space limits us to only a select participants.

    Food and Beverage Vendors are individuals or businesses that sell freshly prepared food and beverages intended to be consumed on-site. This category includes any type of food truck, beverage truck, dessert truck, food cart, or vendor that provides meals or substantial food items.

  • The Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce strives to provide a fun and safe environment for individuals and families to enjoy the Lake Life in a way that represents our community in a positive manner.   We ask all vendors attending to support this goal with us.  We appreciate our vendors and hope that it will be a positive and rewarding experience for you as well.

    Vendor Guidelines

    1.       Vendor applications are subject to review and approval; submission of an application does not guarantee participation.  You will receive correspondence on approval/disapproval and/or dates approved.  If approved, you will recieve the application form to complete the process.  

    2.       Vendors are not allowed to sell or display items deemed by Event staff to be obscene, political, dangerous, or illegal.  Complaints and/or concerns will be addressed and resolved by the Event staff.

    3.       Electricity is only available around City Park.  Vendors may be asked to use their generator.  

    4.       The Event staff and Board of Directors have the right to refuse any vendor that provides products or services that do not fit the criteria or meet the needs of the expected attendees.

    5.       A vendor map layout will be emailed each week to the email provided.  The map will provide designated location. Vendors must stay in their clearly marked spots. It is the vendor’s responsibility to check their location EACH week, as circumstances arise to adjust spots. Previous location is not guaranteed.

    6.       Food vendors must secure a permit and comply with Cerro Gordo Public Health regulations.

    7.       Vendors may NOT arrive before 4 p.m. day of event and must be set up by 6 p.m.  Vendors must vacate the event by 10 p.m.  This rules are in place for the saftey of the public and in correspondence to the road closures/opening. Please note, event staff will be working deligently with the Clear Lake police department to remove any vehicles that are illegally parked.  

    8.       Vendors must stay for the entirety of the event. DO NOT PACK UP PRIOR TO 9 p.m. If you run out of product you must wait until the event ends to depart. 

    9.       Vendors can NOT use public trash receptacles for disposal of vendor-produced trash. This will be closely monitored. A dumpster is located on the SW corner of City Park for your use or you must take garbage out with you. Do not leave on the street, curb or next to a garbage container. *Violators may be prohibited from future events.*

    10.   Trailers will be required to unhook from vehicles and park off-site, unless approved by Event staff.

    11.   Loading and unloading zones are allowed near spaces before and after event hours.  PLEASE respect other vendors by allowing them space and time to unload.  We also ask that when unloading, you do so in an efficent manner as we realize time is limited.

    12.   Vendors may not sell or give away their space to other individuals. 

    13.   Event staff will monitor any weather issues and concerns that arise.  Cancellations will be posted on our website and Facebook.  It is the vendor’s responsibility to monitor any changes, cancellations and use their own discretion.  There will be no refunds due to the weather.

    14.  Vendors must supply cord covers for safety if running electrical cords to power boxes.

    15.   Vendors are responsible for notifying Event staff if unable to attend. No refunds issued.  Absense with or without communication to Event staff may result in termination of your space and/or placed on the waiting list. 

    16.   Vendors are responsible that they leave their area as clean as it was when they arrived.  This includes any spillage on the street. 

    NONCOMPLIANCE WITH ANY VENDOR RULE MAY RESULT IN FORFEITURE IN FUTURE EVENTS.

    I understand that my space must meet all event requirements and can and will be shut down, without refund, for noncompliance of these standards. I hereby expressly release the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Clear Lake, IA, Thursdays on Main committee, or any other individuals associated with this event from all liability for any damages, injuries, thefts, suits, or actions that may arise out of participation on Thursdays on Main.  I have read the application and its provisions and fully understand that I assume all risks for any injuries or incidents received.
