  • All accepted work must be ready for display according to the following guidelines:

    • All artwork must have identification (Artist name, title of work) on the back.
    • OAC retains the right to accept or deny work based on content, condition, or presentation.
    • 2D work, including fiber, must be framed or finished and ready to hang with wire or D-rings if heavy (no eye hooks – these pull out too easily). Sawtooth hangers are acceptable on works 12x16 or smaller.
    • 3D work must be stable and of sound construction, ready for display. If special installation instructions are required, please discuss with Gallery Director Julie White prior to submission.
    • All work must be clean and in good condition. OAC will not display work with dirty glass, dusty frames, sculpture with dirt/cobwebs/etc.
    • No wet paintings will be accepted, nor will any work not ready for handling upon delivery.
    • OAC has total and final say in placement of work and use of display elements such as pedestals, etc.
    • All work will be inspected at drop-off to ensure the above guidelines are followed. If there are issues with the condition or framing of the work, you will be asked to remedy the issues and return the work when those corrections have been completed. Thank you for helping us ensure the quality of our OAC exhibits.

  • Sales:
If work is sold, Oliver Art Center retains 40% of retail price to be established by the artist, the artist retains the remaining 60%. Sales tax will be added at the time of sale and remitted by OAC. Commission checks for sold work will be mailed within 2 weeks of the exhibit’s close to the address provided by you on this form.

  • Terms of Agreement:

    • Oliver Art Center will accept responsibility for the works of art during the exhibition but will not be responsible for any pieces delivered in damaged condition.  We will insure art while in our care per this agreement.
    • OAC will not be held responsible for any damage to works on paper, or of paper, or other fragile mediums that are not thoroughly protected by glass, or acrylic, that completely shields the work from touch, liquid, insects, etc., as in a picture frame, display case, or other highly protective method of presentation. OAC encourages all works of paper and other fragile materials to be protected using the precautionary methods mentioned above, during the entirety of their presence at OAC.
    • The art submitted for exhibition will remain the property of the artist until sold.
    • It is agreed that due care will be taken of each piece of art submitted. However, it is also agreed that OAC, and/or its representatives, will not be held liable for situations over which they have no control.
    • The artist agrees to remove the artwork on the dates indicated above. Oliver Art Center is not responsible (and will not insure) art left on our site past the pick-up due dates and may take possession of the work after 30 days.
    • The OAC gallery committee or jurors reserve the right to the final selection of works. Unaccepted art will be held until pick-up dates unless otherwise directed by Oliver Art Center.
  • Thank you for submitting to the OAC Summer Member Exhibition! Julie White will contact you if there are any problems with your submission. Otherwise please drop off your work on May 31st. All work will be reviewed to ensure it meets the exhibition guidelines.
