    YOUNG MUSICIAN'S PROGRAM FAMILY CAMP - 2ND WEEKEND IN MARCH

    WELCOME TO THE YOUNG MUSICIAN'S PROGRAM CAMP-IN

    This is a revised registration application.  Please read it carefully.

    Participation Guidelines For Youth and Parent (Guardian or Chaparone):

    To qualify for entry into this FREE, educational, and motivational weekend program camp at the Will McLean Music Festival parents and youth will agree to:

    1)  Take an active role in the various opportunities provided throughout the weekend. (Youth participants will work in some team activities therefore unless pre-approved you will need to be there for the full weekend.)

     2)  Attend the MANDATORY Saturday Morning Meet and Greet Youth Breakfast Meeting starting at 9:47am. If you have not registered on-site before the meeting, please arrive no later than 9:17am. (NOTE: The program was developed as a 3 day camp. You will be grouped into teams for various activities. Special travel arrangements for arrival and departure may be taken into account and must be pre-approved by the Director, with the exception of the Mandatory Meet and Greet Youth Breakfast meeting.     3)  Attend the Young Performer's Showcase on Saturday Afternoon. To support our Young Musicians. 

    4)  Minor Youth: An adult parent/guardian of minors must be on the facility grounds at all times. 

    5)  Be under 23 yrs. of age unless an alumnus mentor, a volunteer, or performing in with a band in our Showcase. (Volunteer opportunities are available, please see the link in the Will McLean Festival website, or contact the Youth Director at the above email.)

    6) Friends under the age of 23 years are encouraged to attend with you, however for a minor child(ren), we need a parent/guardian or signed release that someone is responsible, for safety purposes.

  • GATE ENTRY GUIDELINES

    Participants and performers:

    1.)  Youth 16 years of age and under are free.

    2.)  Non-participating attendees 17 years of age and older will need festival entry tickets. Including family members unless participating/volunteering in the program.  

    3.)  Participating 17 to 23 years of age will receive entry for the weekend program and the festival.

    4.)  Two parents/legal guardians/legal chaperones will be allowed to accompany minor child(ren) participants. One of which must be on the Ranch property with the minor(s) at all times.

    5.)  Attendees over 23 years of age, must be an alumnus of the program OR volunteer as a mentor OR be performing in a band that has members between the ages of 5 yrs. to 23 yrs. to receive free entry. 

    6) Names will be provided, from this form, to the Gate Entry Volunteers for your check-in. If your name is not on the list, and you are over 17 years of age, you will need to purchase a ticket.  

    7) No name changes will be made to the Gate Entry List after February 14th of the current festival year. 

     

  • YOUNG MUSICIAN AREA CAMPING GUIDELINES

    1.)   Youth, families, and/or chaperones may camp in the designated YMPC area on the grounds of the Florida Sand Music Ranch. Location is near the YMP Shooting Star Stage. This area is the only area on the Ranch that reserves campsites. All other non-program or non-designated YMPC area sites are first come first serve basis should you decide to camp elsewhere.  

    2.)  Each participant's, non-electric tent site will be provided by the Will McLean Foundation and is free for families of participants and Showcase Performers. 

    3.) Electrical campsites are available for tents and campers at $45.00/per night which includes sales and resort taxes. Fees will be paid at the gate upon arrival. To secure the location of your power source within the designated YMPC area, the Program Director needs to be notified in advance by February 14th of the current festival year. 

    4.) Participants will text Program Director @ (727) 534-8404 upon arrival to the Florida Sand Music Ranch property. They will meet with a parking volunteer to be guided to their site. 

  • WEATHER CONDITIONS 

    The weather in March is very unpredictable. Please plan accordingly for hot days, cold nights, and rain.  

    If camping, please bring a ground tarp and a rainfly. A pop-up cover of no larger than 8' x 8' may also be used. 

    Bring flashlights, or tent lights for nights and sunscreen for days.

(Examples: Website, Posters, Social Media, etc.) I understand I am required to provide supervision, as I am responsible for my child(ren) at all times during the Festival.

    I am of legal age and give my permission for any photographic, audio, and visual recordings that may be taken during the Will McLean Festival to be used for publicity or educational purposes for the Festival and the Foundation. (Examples: Website, Posters, Social Media, etc. )
