    We Demand CUNY Divest!

We, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and concerned community members of the City University of New York (CUNY) demand that the City University of New York (CUNY) take action to immediately:

    1. Divest from all public investments and bonds linked to Israel's colonization and occupation of Palestine and its ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.
    2. Sever all contracts and relationships with U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its subsidiary agencies, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Border Patrol, and bar these agencies from participating in recruitment events and job postings that target CUNY students.
    3. End all investments in and contracts with entities that profit from incarceration, including those that use prison labor, a form of modern-day slavery that exploits vulnerable and racialized groups.
    4. Adopt a permanent ethical investment policy in which CUNY commits to full financial transparency with the public and pledges to avoid investments in or contracts with any entity that facilitates, supports, or is linked to (1) war crimes, crimes against humanity, apartheid, genocide, or the denial of any people's right to self-determination, anywhere in the world; (2) weapons manufacturing, trade, or sales; (3) immigration enforcement, detention, and deportation; or (4) incarceration including prison labor.
