1. Submission of Content and Supporting Materials
The speaker is required to provide an outline of the presentation topic and its content, in addition to any supporting materials, not later than (14) days prior to the event date. The Book Fair reserves the right to review the content and propose any necessary modifications to ensure its alignment with the event’s theme and objectives.
2. Maintaining Neutrality and Inclusivity
ADIBF aims to provide an inclusive and welcoming space for all attendees. Therefore, the speaker must refrain from making any statements or expressions of a political nature during the presentation, including but not limited to:
- Verbal or visual statements that promote political or religious agendas or issues.
- Displaying any materials or engaging in actions that may be perceived as controversial or associated with political, social, or religious conflicts.
- The speaker must fully respect the cultural and social environment and refrain from any behavior that contradicts public decency or the prevailing values of the United Arab Emirates.
3. Compliance with Cultural Sensitivities
The speaker commits to ensuring that the content of their presentation aligns with the cultural sensitivities, values, and expectations related to the event, guaranteeing its appropriateness for the overall context and the nature of its audience.
4. Documentation of Sessions and Activities
The Book Fair reserves the right to document recorded sessions and activities during or outside the exhibition. It may use the recorded material (audio and video) on its website, official social media accounts, and any other media platforms for documentation or promotion of future events.
5. Responsibility and Compliance
The speaker acknowledges their responsibility to comply with these terms and with the applicable laws and regulations of the United Arab Emirates. In the event of any breach of the above conditions, the speaker shall bear the consequences as determined under UAE law.
6. ADIBF's Right to Suspend Participation
In order to maintain the integrity and smooth delivery of the event, the Book Fair reserves the right to cancel or suspend the speaker’s participation in the unlikely event of non-compliance with the above conditions, without incurring any financial obligations.
