True resistance to the racist-colonial-capitalist-"puritanical"-consumer machine includes reclaiming right relationship with our bodies (nervous system, emotions, brain, autonomy) and the reality that humans are a part of nature, and nourished by natural rhythms, by connection to "power with."
Monday night Life Tending Practice is a "life balance" and radicalized "self-care" class for folks who want to expand their capacity to resist systems of oppression and contribute to the world/the future/the present moment in meaningful ways that are in alignment with your unique life, personality and needs.
What it will look like:
--show up at 5:30pm, however you are
--be guided in some simple drop in practices that foster relaxation and group coherence. (This involve breathing patterns, listening to music, clapping in rhythm, gentle body movements, mild meditation)
--the week's tools/theory will be introduced verbally and with visual examples
--dinner is served. Can choose to eat at quiet table or informal talking table
--time for questions and sharing
--individual time to work with the week's framework/tool/worksheet/tactile-representational craft project or writing
--closing circle and intention/inquiry shares
--Leave around 8:15pm
Starts March 16th and continues through April 20th
