    We invite you to join the Mountain View Buddhist Temple Annual Obon Festival July 18 and 19, 2026 and participate as a supporter. Obon is a special time to honor and remember ancestors and loved ones we have lost to show our gratitude for how they have shaped our lives.

    Please use this form to purchase customized Digital Lanterns and Sponsorship to commemorate the memory of your ancestors and lost loved ones. Digital Lanterns and Sponsor Names will available on the MVBT Obon Website through the end of the year.

    Your donations not only helps to support the Obon Lantern program, but also helps MVBT's operational expenses, educational programs and affiliated organizations.

    PAYMENTS
    After you use this form to make your donation, you may pay by check or credit card. A 4.5% charge is assessed on credit card payments. If you choose to pay by credit card, you may help cover this charge when you check out.

  • DIGITAL DEDICATION LANTERNS & SPONSORSHIP

  • We invite you to make a donation to MVBT OBON by purchasing digital dedication lanterns. For every $25 donated, we will provide you with a customized digital lantern on our OBON website.The digital lanterns will be on display at obon.mvbuddhisttemple.org/lanterns.

    Lantern orders will be accepted until Wednesday July 22nd. We recommend using your laptop to submit your donation. 

    Digital lanterns are included as indicated below with Lotus, Sakura, Wisteria or Chrysanthemum Sponsorshp, but are not required. Sponsors will be recognized by the Donor Name indicated below for appropriate level Sponsorship.

    Your support not only makes this program possible, but also helps MVBT's year-round operational expenses and educational programs.

    Names for Lanterns:

    Please list the name(s) that you would like to honor on your digital lanterns, separated by commas (40 characters max per lantern).

    • Standard you may submit one(1) name for every $25 donated below in Lantern Names
    • Lotus and Sakura level sponsors, you may submit one(1) name for every $25 donated
    • Wisteria and Chrysanthemum have no limit.

    If you do not have all of your names at this time, you will receive instructions on how to do so later in your confirmation email. Otherwise if you have a long list of names, please complete the form and leave a note (e.g. sending a long list) in the Lantern Names field, then email your list of names to lisa@kleaver.us 

    Providing your names as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated. This ensures we have enough time to post the lanterns on the website before the Obon/Bazaar.
