As A Worker: Sign the Pledge to Protect Our Immigrant Workforce From the Terror of ICE
As workers we have the right to a safe workplace regardless of legal status. Immigrant workers need support from coworkers now more than ever. Sign on to the pledge! As workers we are demanding: (1) Workplace safety plans and "Know Your Rights" training for all workers and managers to protect staff in the event of a federal law enforcement action. (2) Enforcement of the right to deny law enforcement agents access to any private areas of a business without a valid judicial warrant. (3) Enforcement of the right to refuse service to known ICE or federal agents in businesses, to ensure the safety of all workers and customers. (4) Flexibility granted to workers to take time off to stay safe and/or manage immigration proceedings (such as immigration court or ICE check-ins) without punishment by management or fear of discipline or loss of job.
