Rules and Guidelines for the RYLA Program
The District 6780 RYLA Committee is responsible to you, your parents, your school and your sponsoring Rotary Club for upholding the spirit and purpose of the RYLA program and ensuring a positive and enjoyable learning experience. As such, we must ensure a safe and orderly environment for the day.
You too, have responsibilities. As a leader or aspiring leader, you must set an example. You are representing your school, your sponsoring Rotary Club, and your community. We are certain that you want them to be proud of you.
RULES AND GUIDELINES
1.
Alcohol and drugs:
There will be no drinking of alcoholic beverages or use of illegal drugs.
2.
Smoking/Vaping:
No smoking or vaping is permitted at any time during the RYLA program.
3.
Conduct:
Attendees must, at all times, be respectful of the feelings and personage of the other participants. Attendees will act in a manner that is considerate of (and in the best interests of) the goals of the program, and of the other participants in the program. Attendees must refrain from profanity, mean-spirited humor, any ill will, or disfiguring the facility or any property.
4.
Attendance:
Each attendee must attend the entire program. Students may NOT self-drive to RYLA and may NOT leave during the program without approval from the RYLA chairperson.
5.
Disciplinary Action:
Violation of the rules will result in immediate removal from the program. Removed students will remain supervised by a Rotarian on site until the completion of the program. Removed adult activity leaders will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
6.
Attire:
Casual dress is appropriate, as the event will include both classroom and outdoor physical activities. Overly suggestive attire or clothing with crude words/images are not compatible with responsible leadership traits and must not be worn to RYLA. Climbing wall requires tennis shoes.

Please email, along with your completed Registration Form, Waiver Form and Adventureworks Release of Liability to the RYLA Coordinator of the Rotary Club who invited you. (See bottom of the Registration Form).
