Immigrant workers need support from their employers now more than ever. Sign on below to support workers. As an employer, I am pledging to take the following steps to keep my workers safe: (1) Develop workplace safety plans and provide "Know Your Rights" training for all workers and managers to protect staff in the event of a federal law enforcement action. (2) Enforce the right to deny law enforcement agents access to any private areas of a business without a valid judicial warrant, and training to staff on how to enforce these rights in practice. (3) Enforce the right to refuse service to ICE or federal agents at my business(es) to ensure the safety of all workers and customers. (4) Grant flexibility to workers who need time off to stay safe and/or manage immigration proceedings (such as immigration court or ICE check-ins) without punishment by management or fear of discipline or loss of job.
